Lenny drove the U-haul with Brutis (the Great Dane) and our '46 Chevy on a trailer behind him, and I drove the car with Sydney, Stone and Leo!!! I don't know how Lenny got that break. Many "5-Hour Energy" drinks later we stop for the night in Atlanta. It was around 5pm that we stopped and none of us made it past 6:30pm until we all passed out in the hotel. Here comes the best part.... Stone wakes us up screaming, I look at the clock and it is 8:05. "Oh No!" I think to myself, "We are way behind schedule". I grab Stone and tell everyone they need to get up, I'm going to the Lobby to get breakfast with Stone. I pass people playing in the pool, which I thought was strange for 8am...but hey "to each their own". I walk into the Lobby (looking a disheveled mess) and notice that all of the breakfast equipment is out, but no food.?? I ask the clerk "When do you serve breakfast?" He replies, "6-9". Confused I look around and say, "Well what time is it now?" The clerk is VERY confused at this moment, looks me and Stone up and down (for an awkward amount of time) and says in a teacher to student kind of way, "6 to 9 AM". "Oohhh, its 8pm...oops" I say. The clerk isn't taking that as a normal reply and starts to question me of what room I am in and what is my name. After my answers he says, "But your husband JUST checked in". "I know, I know...long story", I said as I shuffled quickly out of the lobby. HAHAHAHA! He must of thought we were some serious loony tunes! Well, I got Stone to bed and we all went back to sleep until 7am the next morning. I was very relieved not to see the same clerk behind the counter during breakfast. We then continued 4 more hours and pulled up to our new home!
Lenny used craigslist to find some help unloading our big U-haul, and then it was off to the beach the very next day!
We are so happy to say that Hilton Head Island is now our home town! We finally did it everyone! Woo Hoo!
